Hey guys,
My daily routine is busy and consistent throughout my time here. My day starts at 1600 hours, and it's essential. I brush my teeth; I make sure I spend at least 30 minutes stretching. My job is very physically demanding, and stretching helps me prepare for the day and ensures I'm nimble enough to respond to emergencies immediately and prevent injury—afterward, a quick shower. From there, I check my phone for messages and emails to keep up with my family and friends and my personal life. I also try to get to the kitchen so I have time to make my daily food. Depending on how long that takes me, I get my gear and essentials for work ready, ensuring I don’t forget anything. From there, I'm waiting for transport to my designated area to start work, usually a 12–14-hour shift, depending on how the day goes. I cannot say specifics about what I do, but sometimes emergencies extend the workload and cut into break times so that the hours may vary. If all goes well, I usually leave at 0720 hours and try to grab some chow (military for breakfast, lunch, etc.) before it runs out. From there, I go to the gym to exercise; I usually am there longer, but I cut short for time. Finally, my day ends with a shower before I start again. I choose a day in my work schedule rather than my rest days because I usually use them to catch up on sleep or school, and there's not much activity.
